Purple Verification PVC and CPVC Primer/Cleaner 1 Pint, PRIMER-PUR-PT

Purple Verification PVC and CPVC Primer/Cleaner Overview

This 1-pint purple-tinted primer is a dual-purpose cleaner and primer engineered for use on PVC and CPVC pipe and fittings in electrical conduit, plumbing, and industrial applications. The formulation removes surface contaminants including dirt, grease, and grime while chemically softening the pipe surface to facilitate a strong, rapid solvent weld. The purple tint provides the code-required visual indication that primer has been applied prior to cementing, satisfying inspection requirements on regulated jobsites. The formula is less aggressive than standard clear or purple primers and exceeds current environmental performance standards.
